GOLD COAST CONTINGENT TRAVEL BOOKING – JAMBOREE 2023
Registrations for Kani-Karrung Jamboree 2023 have closed. This booking is only for registered Jamboree participants to arrange travel with the Queensland Gold Coast contingent.
Welcome to the Queensland Contingent for Kani-Karrung Jamboree 2023 in Ballarat, Victoria.
The Queensland Contingent will be led by Mandie Young, Kat Ellwood and Cherelle Stager. We will be your point of contact for anything related to the contingent before, during and after Jamboree.
WHILE WE UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL DIFFERENCE IN COST FOR FLIGHTS FROM BRISBANE AND GOLD COAST, PRIORITY FOR THE GOLD COAST DEPARTURE WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO SELECTED GOLD COAST ON THEIR SURVEY AND MEMBERS OF THE GOLD COAST REGION.
For those travelling from the Gold Coast, we will be flying with Virgin Australia from the Gold Coast to Melbourne, departing on Saturday 14 January at 0855am.
Travelling back to the Gold Coast, we will be flying with Virgin Australia from Melbourne to the Gold Coast, arriving Saturday 21 January at 1415pm.
Specific travel details will be issued closer to the time of travel as these change daily depending upon weather, COVID, etc.
Coach travel between Melbourne airport and Ballarat is included in your Jamboree registration.
Participants who are travelling long distances prior to joining the contingent, are encouraged to investigate local Guide huts to stay in the night prior.
Contingent Fee: $90.00 This fee includes your contingent shirt, 5 badges,
support from GGQ State Office during preparation for us
to attend this amazing event. The Contingent shirt will
be the same size as your Jamboree shirt.
Pre-Event Accommodation: $50.00 At the Jamboree site
Flight Cost: $280.00 Return air fare per person
TOTAL COST incl GST: $420.00
PAYMENT OF THIS AMOUNT MUST BE PAID BY 7 OCTOBER 2022
Additional Contingent shirt/s and Contingent Badges (lots of 5) may be purchased and paid for in the Program Options section.
Please supply an ADM 27 (Youth) or ADM 28 (Adult) on the day of travel to the Contingent Leader at the airport.
Cancellations requested before 4pm Friday 25 November – Refund of $230.00 will be available. (Non-refundable amount of $190.00 includes pre-paid flight deposit and contingent fee)
