Quartermaster (QM) Expression of Interest for GGQ State events 2024 

 

Expressions of Interest for QM for the following State Events: 

  • Lead on – GGQ Training & Training-for-Trainers – 19 – 21 July (40 pax)  

  • Trainers Conference 2 – 3 November at PGL Kindilan (25 pax approximately)

 Jamboree 2025

Jamboree 2025 planning is well underway and Girl Guides NSW, ACT & NT is inviting Adult Members from other States to join the Jamboree Event Leadership Team as well as apply for Group Leaders.

 

Want to get involved? 

Interested in living for the challenge and lending a hand to the Jamboree Event Leadership Team or Group Leader role? All Adult Members are invited to apply now! There are many established teams that could benefit from YOUR help! Program, Risk, Hygiene, and Transport are just a few of the teams that require additional hands to make light work. Group Leader roles are also now available! 

 

Applicants from other States are welcomed. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with likeminded women on a hugely significant Guiding event for our nation.

Outdoors Program, Promotions and Resources Coordinator
PurposeTo work collaboratively with Girl Guides Queensland Volunteers and Staff to provide the guidance and resources to ensure Leaders deliver the Australian Guide Program (AGP).
Criteria: Highly developed and effective interpersonal skills, both 1-on-1 and in large groups. Passion for improving the youth experience via the introduction of great outdoors programs and events.

Casual Board Director

Do you love Guiding and how it empowers girls and young women?

The Girl Guides Qld Board has a vacancy for a Casual Board Director through to March 2025.

 About You

You will have a passion for all things Guiding, a high degree of professional integrity and proven skills in collaboration.

You will be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas.

  • Fundraising
  • IT, Data security, Digital Safety
  • Corporate Partnership Development
  • Government Relations and advocacy
  • Marketing, Brand Promotion and Sponsorship


Commitment

  • Board meetings: One board meeting a month (except December & January)
  • Preparatory work: Board members will need to allocate time for preparatory work before the meetings. This may involve reading relevant meeting materials and will take between 2 – 3 hours depending on the meeting agenda.
  • Additional project/committee work: Depending on your interest and availability, you may have the opportunity to contribute to specific projects or committees that align to your expertise and interest.
