Board Vacancies

Have you ever considered applying for a role on the GGQ Board?
The Board determines to appoint experienced and skilful volunteers to fill any remaining vacant Board positions.
The Board is responsible for the management of the property and affairs of Guides Queensland. Some of the responsibilities of the Board include developing strategic directions, overseeing the operation, Guides’ affairs and governance matters, ensuring compliance, and managing risks.

All Board Members play a significant part in Guides Queensland. They contribute their skills, experience and Guides’ perspective into our strategic directions, future planning and other decision-making.

Individuals with one of the following skill sets are highly encouraged to apply to commence some priorities matters in our 2022 to 2026 Strategic Plan and other Guides’ affairs:
  • Income generation
  • Partnership development
  • Marketing brand promotion and sponsorship
  • Government relations and advocacy
  • Board Chair/ Senior executive leadership experience.
The Board also encourages regional and rural Members and younger Members (under 30 years old) to consider applying.

Other Board-level opportunities

Policy and Procedure Sub-Committee Members

The Policy and Procedure Sub-Committee sits under the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (FAR Committee). The main work for goal of this Sub-Committee is to ensure Guides Queensland has fit-for-purpose policies and procedures to guide the operations of the organisation legally, responsibly, and ethically. On top of the Sub-Committee's to-do list include archive policy, bequest policy and finance-related procedures, just to name a few.

Volunteer Vacancies


Arts Camp LiC
We’re seeking a Leader interested in the Arts to be the overall LiC for a State Camp for Guides 7 - 11 years proposed for the weekend 14 -16 October 2022,
The LiC would work with and coordinate the various sub camps in separate locations.
