The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts

The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is the largest voluntary Movement dedicated to girls and young women in the world. Our diverse Movement represents ten million girls and young women from 152 countries.

In 1928 WAGGGS was formed and Australia was one of the 26 founding members. WAGGGS is divided into five Regions: Africa, Arab, Asia Pacific, Europe and Western Hemisphere.
Girl Guides Australia is a Member Organisation of WAGGGS within the Asia Pacific Region.
