 International Womens Day
IWD is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
The 2009 Queensland theme "Our Women, Our State" aimed to celebrate Q150 by reflecting on the women and their achievements, as well the events, places and stories significant to women, which have contributed to shaping Queensland since its separation from New South Wales in 1859.
